Symbolism and the power of intent are core teachings in reiki. Subjects like ancient energy healing and sacred geometry principles open our eyes to the full potential of intent.
Look at a beautiful image, and appreciation of this floods your system almost instantly in a powerful way. Your brain communicates the magic your eyes have witnessed via your neurological messaging system throughout your whole body.
The result? Within moments, we can experience the positive impact of a pleasant visual, and in turn, an improvement in how we feel - mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually to match this. (Likewise, images projecting fear have a similar capacity to cause distress and resulting impact on our wellbeing.)
The sacred symbols which are taught to those who learn reiki have their origins in ancient sanscrit. Sanscrit is said to be the language of the spirit world. Reiki symbols are treated with great respect within the reiki world and should be kept secret until the point at which someone is attuned to reiki. At the point of attunement the symbols are then activated within the reiki practitioner to be able to be used in various settings, including within healing sessions to direct and enhance the flow of universal energy for highest good.
Symbols are everywhere and communicated throughout all walks of life and beyond. Look to cave paintings, ancient Egyptian art, Islamic design, even your phone or computer keyboard! and you will see a wealth of examples of symbolism at play. I have been fortunate to have been attuned to a number of different symbols, including traditional reiki ones, which i incorporate into daily life in a number of ways. When you learn reiki with me, we will look at some of the ways in which you can work with symbolism on a deeper level too.
My healing mandalas use these combined principles of positive neurological messaging alongside colour therapy, crystal imagery, reiki and other symbols to activate the energy of the mandala. These images are designed to radiate this energy into the environment they find homes in- and into the lives those who focus on it. i look forward to sharing my discovery with you!
